Growing up fast

It is hard to believe our sweet little Abigail is 5 months old today! As I set up my "studio" to take pictures of Abi, I decided to take pictures of all the kids. It is incredible how fast the kids are growing, I always heard that when I was young but you never really know how fast kiddos grow until they are almost grown. Titus is 13, Isaac is 11, Chloe Ann is 9 and Naomi is 4.

Abi has been rolling over for a couple weeks now, she loves to smile and laugh and especially catch your attention. She has just started to cough or squeal to get our attention. She continues to be a good baby and is very happy all the time.

Snaggletooth!!

Chloe Ann lost her sixth front tooth this week-end, she looks so cute. Danny was testing her to see if she could still whistle and she can...I don't know how!!

Naomi is determined to find "her" loose tooth, I hope she does not wriggle one loose at 3!!!

Titus is 11, he is our people person and loves to meet new friends. Isaac is 9, he is such a joy to be around always happy. He enjoys hanging out with Titus.

Chloe Ann is 7, she likes school and her friends she has made, it is neat to see how she shines around others.

Naomi is 2, she is our funny girl. She loves to make faces and make people laugh. Her favorite thing to do is play with her friends & siblings.

So many times I step back and look at my kids in amazement. I know every parent does but we have really pulled our kids out of their comfort zone and they have done extremely well. I praise God for his faithfulness to our family, when we are so far away from everything we know.

TITUS-11
A couple of weeks ago Titus had a major project due in school, he had to research 32 inventions, find the inventor and the date it was invented, write a description about them, & draw a picture of each one. (IN SPANISH DON'T FORGET!!) We were proud of his work... then he came home and he had the second best grade in the whole class. Yeah we were thrilled. Titus likes school and enjoys the friends he has there.

Isaac-8
Isaac likes school, and he does well. He came home the other day and told us that he won the prize for finishing all his work the fastest. He loves a challenge. Both Titus & Isaac are learning to use a Cayuco(wooden canoe). They borrow our gardeners as much as they can. Titus stands in the back and rows while Isaac sits in the front and rows. They have been into town and back a couple of times but usually I just like them to stay close.


Chloe Ann-6
Chloe Ann is our social butterfly and really enjoys her friends at school. She is learning to read and wrtie. Her favorite thing to do is write words down as I say them to her, she usually has a Spanish list and an English list so I can call out both and she will spell it and put it in the right list.
She reminds me of 'me' always ready to have a good time :)

Naomi-2
Naomi is our little laugher. She loves to laugh and has this deep belly laugh that is very contageous. Last week she woke up and said "no please diaper' I said OK but you cannot go on my floor...well she didn't!!!! And up until yesterday had not had an accident. She was running for the bathroom and just didn't make it. Happens to the best of us :) She loves to wear her corte(the typical dress here), When we go to Market the ladies all ask me if I will give her to them.. Naomis says 'no Gracias' and frowns at them.

Chloe Ann's Birthday

Happy Birthday Chloe Ann!!!

This past thursday we celebrated her birthday. We had a party with her class at school.

My dear friend Melissa let me borrow her camera. Danny met me at the school with his Spanish teacher Carola. She loved holding Naomi while we had the party. We took a cake that Chloe Ann & I made and decorated. It was yummy and the kids all liked it.




I was surprized, almost everyclass mate brought a gift for her. She got all kinds of neat things. It was really fun for Chloe Ann. I took party favors for each child. One of the items was a whistle:) When all 14 of them opened the whistles and started blowing Danny said "could you not find anything else"? Poor teacher, She said it was no problem. She is so sweet.

On Friday night we had the Conners and the Walls over for dinner and celebrated her birthday with them. Chloe Ann wanted to have spagetti & a delicious cake from the bakery she had seen a couple of months ago. It was white with green apples and strawberries on top. We had a great time of fellowship and everyone enjoyed their time together. So sad to say I did not take pictures of this party. My camera is officially retired.
